Sunday at The Schwab's

How is it that Sunday's seem to go so fast? Last night as I lie down I thought to myself, "Where did the day go?" It was a really nice Family Day (as Connor calls it.)
When Emma Kate got up from nap I was trying to get the kitchen cleaned before doing some baking with Connor. Emma wanted attention and to be part of the action. So I plopped her in the sink with some measuring cups, etc...
Connor got a little side-tracked and wanted to play with Emma Kate. He wasn't too happy when I declined his request to get in the sink also.

We invited my parents over for dinner and had the added surprise that they were watching my nephew, Harley! And his momma when she came to pick him up...yeah, I love having a house full of family.
We put some chicken on the grill while I tried a new zucchini recipe I got from Kim, who got it from The Barefoot Contessa.  I am so excited about this recipe! Every time I steam zucchini for the family, everyone complains, however last night was quite different.

All were raving as they sunk their teeth into these...Zucchini Pancakes!

They didn't quite look like they did in the recipe, but I don't care! Yum-ee! Kim was right though...a little too salty. I decreased the salt a little, but I would be tempted to cut it out completely if using salted butter.

Emma got some cousin time:)

And some Grammy Time:)

Harley discovered puffs. Boy was he excited!
